School pellegrini

Abandoned kiln converted into a school by Pietro Carlo Pellegrini Architects

An architectural conversion, a shift of functions, a new life for a building which had been transformed from an abandoned kiln to a sustainable cultural center.

The project has been held by the architect Pietro Carlo Pellegrini and his team, in the city of Riccione.
The mainly used material for the intervention is brick, a real signature of the team that, thanks to this choice, made a new dialogue start between present and past; the whole project is based on the dialectic between facades materials.

The complex houses within it a school for about 450 students, a theater and some office spaces.
